Being an orthodontist is, in our opinion the greatest occupation imaginable. We don't
use the word job because, although it is a responsibility, its also a pleasure...and
to be guile honest, also a lot of fun! Becoming involved in kid's lives and watching
them grow and mature generates tremendous gratification. Changing someone's
appearance for the better and seeing his or her self-esteem increase, is a true delight.
In our office, we all try to go that extra mile, and not only make kid's feel comfortable
with the environment we have created, but work constantly in boosting their self
worth and esteem. We want them to grow both physically and emotionally. It is an
opportunity to influence others positively and make our community a better place.
Both Dr. Hersh and Dr. Beattie recognize the importance of community involvement.
They both live in the lakes area and have become involved with the local school
districts. They share a passion for education and volunteer both time and finances to
improve local education, both public and private. We participate in medical mentorship
programs and allow local adolescents to "job shadow." Dr. Hersh is also a member
of the West Bloomfield school board and enjoys showing kids how science is utilized
outside the office by giving science presentations and participating in career day
activities.

Community responsibilities don't end with schools but go beyond. By becoming
involved with sports leagues, school teams of varying types, extra-curricular activities,
gymnastic gyms, dance studios, etc. we recognize the importance of being involved
with kids, generate opportunities for them, and help to make a difference in their lives.
Drs. Hersh and Beattie and their staff also want to thank all our patients and their
families for giving us the honor and opportunity to be a part of your lives, and create
beautiful smiles along the way!
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Dr.
Hersh or Dr. Beattie at the newest state of the art orthodontic facility in
