SIDNEY SCHLAFF, 94, of Oak Park,
died March 6, 2009.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Sadie Schlaff; sons and daughter-in-
law, Dr. Richard and Ilene Schlaff of
Farmington Hills, James Schlaff of
Oak Park; daughter and son-in-law,
Susan and Jeffrey LaKritz of West
Bloomfield; brother and sister-in-law,
Dr. Robert and Florence Schlaff; sister,
Beatrice Mondry of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren, Kevin LaKritz, Amy
LaKritz, Kari Schlaff and•Evan Schlaff;
many loving nieces, nephews, other
family members and friends.
Mr. Schlaff was the dear brother-in-
law of the late Mary and the late Sam
Lupiloff, the late Mollie and the late
Harry Gross, the late Leon Mondry.
Interment at Beth Abraham
Cemetery in Ferndale. Contributions

SHIRLEY SISLER,
99, of Southfield,
died March 4, 2009.
A retired elemen-
tary public school
teacher in the
Detroit school sys-
tem, Mrs. Sisler had

also participated
in the family jewelry store and was
considered tops in sales.
She returned to Wayne State
University and graduated in 1961 in
the same class as her son. She was an
avid mah jongg player.
Mrs. Sisler is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, Richard and
Sharon Sisler of Farmington Hills;
grandchildren, Tammy and Steve Dines
and Scott Sisler; great-grandchildren,
Samantha and Brianna Dines.
Mrs. Sisler was the beloved wife
of the late Joseph Sisler; the devoted
mother of the late Marilyn Sisler;
the cherished sister of the late Doris
Davidson, the late Dr. Samuel Silver,
the late Ida Gales, the late Betty
Kahrnoff, the late Mollie August and
the late Mary Cohen.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
