Obituaries Milton Marmon, D.O. of West Bloomfield. Age 81, died peacefully on March 4, 2009. Beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Sills). Beloved father of David (Linda Speck) Marmon, Susan (James) Blacketer and Paul (Patricia) Marmon. Beloved grandfather of Sara Blacketer, Joseph Blacketer, Michelle Marmon, Travis Marmon and Alexander Marmon. Brother of the late Jerry Marmorstein and the late Richard Marmon. Milton practiced general medicine in the Wayne-Westland area for over 40 years. The eldest son of Nathan and Pauline Marmorstein, Milton was raised in Detroit, and graduated from Cass Technical High School, an alma mater of which he was most proud, in 1945. He received his doctor of Osteopathy from Iowa Still College in Des Moines. As a general practitioner in the early years, he delivered babies and scrubbed for surgeries. He began his practice at a time when antibiotics were starting to cure previously incurable infections. Throughout his entire career, he dispensed medication and wisdom with a quiet professionalism that sometimes masked his deep caring. He was a devoted husband to Marjorie for 55 years. He was very proud of his three children and 5 grand children, and celebrated in all of their accomplishments. His wise and understated counsel will be missed by all. Obituaries from page B33 The family wishes to give a special thank you to Milt's physician, nephew and friend Michael Sills, MD, who not only provided excellent care, but spent countless hours helping Milt and his family navigate through the medical system.
