birth of son, Akiva
Meshulam. Excited

big sisters are Kayla, Moriyah, Tehila
and Hadassa. Thrilled grandparents
are Jeanette Solway of West Bloomfield
and Merrill and Abigail Raul of St.
Louis, Mo. Akiva is named in loving
memory of his beloved grandfather
Franklin Solway. He is also the grand-
son of the late Susan Raul.

Aron Joseph Baxter
(Yosef Aharon) was
called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, March 7,
at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek
Southfield. He is the
Baxter
son of Miriam and
Ryan Baxter and the
brother of Brendan and Evan. Sharing
in his simchah were his very proud
grandparents Safta Sandra Ribiat,
Zaydie Alvin Ribiat and Jack and
Daneen Baxter. Kvelling in Arizona,
but unable to attend, was his 94-
year-old great-grandfather Herman
Ashman.
A.J. attends Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. His most meaningful mitz-
vah project was volunteering at
Fleischman and Hechtman senior citi-
zen facilities in West Bloomfield.

Barbara S. Weiner. He is also the grand-
son of the late Dr. Murray Weiner and
the late Dr. Allan Samuelson. His proud
great-grandmother is Lottie Margoles.
He is also the great-grandson of the late
Meyer Margoles.
Adam is a student at O.E. Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
Among his many mitzvah projects, he
is donating a portion of his bar mitz-
vah money to Hockey has Heart, an
organization that helps hockey fami-
lies in need.

Richard Doyle.
David is a seventh-grader at Kinawa
Middle in Okemos. His mitzvah proj-
ect has been entertaining seniors who
have Alzheimer's.

Bloomfield Township.
She is the daughter
of Jeff and Sue Goldsmith, the sister
of Alec and the granddaughter of Lee
and Sandy Marks and Herman and
Barbara Goldsmith.
Sammi is a seventh-grade student at
Warner Middle School in Farmington
Hills. Among her rewarding mitzvah
projects was assisting as a madrichah
(aide) at Temple Beth El's religious
school.
