Sue, Danny and Leah Fershtman

Temple Beth Emeth

Several years ago, the Fershtman
Family moved into their new home
and knew they needed to have work
done on their kitchen. "We went to
Hebrew Free Loan, and they were
very easy to work with," says Sue.
"HFL also helped us when my hus-
band, Bruce, went back to school to
change careers."
Later on, as their kids grew up,
the Fershtmans again approached
HFL to help with camp payments.
"There are a lot of expenses at the
same time of year as camp pay-
ments are due, with paying taxes
and so on, and camp is very impor-
tant to us," says Sue. "Sure, I could
probably find a less-expensive day
camp, but we're a Tamarack family
— Jordan and Danny loved it, and
Leah still does.
"It would be such a crime to have
adults unable to return to school, or
parents who couldn't send their kids
to the camp of their choice because
of their resources. Thank goodness
HFL allows people to carry on with
their lives."
