Instead, keep a checklist of your refrigera- tor's contents on the door and check them off as they are eaten. • When purchasing an automatic defrost refrigerators, look for a refrig- erator with a power saver switch. This turns off the defrost heater unit when humidity is low in the winter. It could cut your operating costs by 10 or 15 percent. • Keep your freezer as full as possible. Foods will retain cold better than empty air and make the refrigerator more economical. • When cooking vegetables cut them into bite-size pieces. Steam them instead of boiling. They will cook faster and retain more taste and nutrition. Meat cooks faster in smaller pieces, too. The synagogue will honor financial obligations to the cantor through the end of his contract period, which is June 30. All of our weekday and Shabbat services will be Cantor Frank competently covered by Lanzkron- other capable individuals',' Tamarazo wrote Adat Shalom President Jeffrey Supowit."Our search for a new cantor is proceeding, and we are pleased by the interest shown in the position here at Adat Shalom." Cantor Lanzkron-Tamarazo, a graduate of the Miller Cantorial School of the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, and who studied operatic performance at the Manhattan School of Music, has been at the synagogue since June 2007.
