IRVING RONALD
SWEET, 65, of
Houston, Texas, died
Feb. 8, 2009, after a
long and debilitating
illness. He formerly
resided in Boca
Raton, Fla., and
Sweet
Southfield.
After his stint in the military, Mr.
Sweet embarked on an over four-
decade career in sales. Prior to his
illness, he was a heating and cooling
executive.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed
spending quality time with his grand-
children. In later life, the time he spent
with them gave him the strength to
persevere during his illness.
Mr. Sweet is survived by his wife,
Sandra; children, Toni (Adam)
Olenick of North Canton, Ohio, Adam
Sweet, of Katy, Texas; grandchildren,
Mia, Noah and Mason Olenick, Jacob,
Jaden and Ashton Sweet; loving
brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Ida
Sweet of West Bloomfield; niece and
nephew, Mara and Korey.
He was the devoted son of the late
Sam and the late Marjorie Sweet; lov-
ing uncle of the late Kal Jerrud Sweet.

Michigan for more than 25 years.
She is survived by her husband,
Richard Wolk of Franklin; sons and a
daughter-in-law, Steven Wolk of Santa
Monica and David and Miriam Wolk
of Israel; eight grandchildren; brother,
Barry Samuels of California; brother-
in-law, Robert Wolk.
Interment at Beth El Memorial

SHELDON ZELICKMAN, 70, of Oak
Park, died Feb. 11, 2009.
He is survived by his son, Robert
Zelickman of Oak Park; daughter and
son-in-law, Lisa and Chris Tobin of

of Commerce Township; nephew,
Aaron Zelickman; loving grandkitties;
former wife, Ronna Zelickman.
Mr. Zelickman was the loving son
of the late Herbert and the late Jean
Zelickman.

Crash Kills Cantor
JTA/Jerusalem Post — Two Israelis
and a cantor reportedly were aboard
a plane that crashed near Buffalo,
N.Y.
The Continental commuter aircraft
crashed into a house in the city's
suburbs while landing late Feb. 12,
killing 50 people — all 49 aboard
the plane and one inside the house.
Israeli media reported that two of the
passengers on the flight from Newark,
N.J., were Israelis; their families have
been notified.

Susan Wehle, 55, a cantor at Temple
Beth Am in Williamsville, N.Y., also
was among the dead. Wehle was a
graduate of ALEPH- the Movement
for Jewish Renewal and the mother
of two sons, according to the syna-
gogue's Web site.
David Berghash, the temple's presi-
dent, said she was "loved by every
congregant here, and she will be
sorely missed!'
