Joshua does distance learning through
California-based Laurel Springs School.
His most meaningful mitzvah project
was performing and assisting teaching
Japanese skaters at the Skate with Yuka
Sato outreach event.

as he celebrates
his bar mitzvah at
Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield
Saturday, Feb. 21. He

is the son of Karen
and Jeffrey Modell
and the brother of
Andrew. Sharing in the celebration will
be his grandparents Nancy and Cecil
Raitt. He is also the grandchild of the
late Sola and the late Richard Modell.
His very proud great-grandmother is
Beatrice Raitt.
Eric attends Cranbrook Kingswood
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
Among his many mitzvah projects, he
felt sorting and boxing food at Yad Ezra
in Berkley was the most meaningful.

are thrilled to announce the engagement of
their children Lori Beth Fox and Darren Scott
Rodner.
Lori received her undergraduate degree in
mechanical engineering from the University of
Michigan and a master's degree in engineer-
ing and business from Oakland University. She
works as a program manager in the automo-
tive industry,
Darren received his undergraduate degree
in computer science from Michigan State
University in East Lansing. He works as a software developer for an Ann Arbor firm.
A June wedding is planned in Bloomfield Hills.
