Temple Beth El in
Bloomfield Township
Friday, Feb. 6, as he is
called to the bimah
Abrams
to celebrate his bar
mitzvah. Sharing
in the celebration
will be his brother Max, grandpar-
ents Joseph and Victoria Arthur and
Raymond and Louise Abrams. He is
also the grandson of the late Shirley
Abrams.
Sam is a student at Derby Middle
School in Birmingham. He chose vol-
unteering at Temple Beth El with the
teachers and children as his mitzvah
project.

Adam Michael
Birndorf, son of

Bloomfield, will be
called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah
Saturday, Feb. 7,
Birndorf
at Adat Shalom
Synagogue in
Farmington Hills. He
is the brother of Matthew and Jessica.
His proud grandparents are Dr. Russell
and Rhoda Horton and Ardis Feldman.
He is also the grandchild of the late
Fred Birndorf and stepgrandson of the
late Harold Feldman.
Adam is a seventh-grader at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. One of his mitzvah
projects is working as a volunteer to
help out at the Friendship Circle in
West Bloomfield.

Claire Halley
Bogrow will be called
to the Torah as a bat
mitzvah Friday, Feb.
6, at Congregation
Shir Tikvah in Troy.
She is the daughter
of Julie Upp and Earl
Bogrow
Bogrow and sister of
Hanna. Sharing in the
simchah will be her
grandparents Sally Olin, Richard and
Margee Upp, Ann Bogrow and great-
grandmother Dorothy Upp. Claire is
also the granddaughter of the late
Harold Bogrow.
As her mitzvah project, Claire volun-
teered her time to help students with
special needs.

West Bloomfield,
Saturday, Feb. 7, as
she celebrates her
bat mitzvah. She is

the daughter of Mary
Lebrato and Brian
and Alicia Felhandler
and the sister of Chloe. Sharing in the
simchah will be her proud grandpar-
ents Suzanne and William DeHaan
and Marcia and Dr. Stuart Felhandler.
Emma attends Clifford Smart
Middle School in Walled Lake. Among
her many mitzvah projects, she felt her
most memorable was helping adults
who are mentally challenged during
Special Olympic events.

Southfield. He is the

son of Susan and Sam
Gun and brother of
Maxwell and Madeline. Sharing in the
joy will be grandparents Miryam and
Jack Gun and Betty and Paul Sherizen.
His proud great-grandmother is Anne
Goldstein.
Josh is a student at West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. His most
meaningful mitzvah project was vol-
unteering at the Fleischman Residence
in West Bloomfield, assisting in special
events with the residents.
