heila and Steven Silverstein of West
Bloomfield together with Marilyn
and Michael Rice, also of West
Bloomfield, are happy to announce the
engagement of their children Erica Lyn and
Justin Alan.
Erica earned a bachelor's degree in eco-
nomics from the University of Michigan
and is a law student at Boston University,
where she is a member of the Law Review
staff.
Justin earned a bachelor's degree in social
relations from James Madison College at
Michigan State University and is a Boston-
based freelance writer whose work has appeared in publications such as the
Boston Globe, Patriot Ledger and Brockton Enterprise.
A September wedding is planned.

Hills are thrilled to announce the
LI engagement of their daughter
Samantha Eve Sefton to Alex Wei Shune, son
of Dr. Hong and Andrew Shune of Troy.
Samantha and Alex met at the University
of Michigan, where they received their
bachelor's degrees. Samantha received her
master's in speech-language pathology from
the Ohio State University. She is a speech-
language pathologist at the Ohio State
University Medical Center in Columbus.
Alex will graduate in June from the Ohio
State University College of Medicine. He will
begin his residency in anesthesiology later this year.
An April wedding is planned at the Westin Southfield-Detroit.
