Bloomfield Saturday,
Jan. 17. He is the son

Birnberg and the brother of Jason
and Randy. He is the grandson of the
late Ruth and the late Jack Birnberg,
the late Bernice and the late Robert
Brownstein.
Joshua attends Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield. Working
with seniors at the Hechtman Center
in West Bloomfield was the mitzvah
project he felt to be most meaningful.

Dara Naomi Canchester, daugh-
ter of Paula and Paul Canchester of
Highland Park, Ill., will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
Jan. 17, at Congregation Am Yisrael
in Northfield, Ill. Celebrating with
Dara will be her brother, Sid; her
proud grandmothers, former Detroiter
Bea, now of Deerfield, Ill., and Barbara
Weinreich of Orlando, Fla. Dara is
also the granddaughter of the late
Jack Canchester and the late Robert
Weinreich.
Many relatives are coming from
Minneapolis, San Francisco, southern
California, Las Vegas, Orlando, New
York, Durham, Boston and Middletown.
