A production control man- ager for Ford Motor Company, he was Baumgarten a veteran of World War II and, as a ser- geant, was in charge of a POW camp in France. He was very active with Troop 23 of the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the Jewish War Veterans. Mr. Baumgarten is survived by his wife, May Baumgarten of Farmington Hills; son, Gary Baumgarten of Middletown, N.J.; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Don Meredith of Bloomfield Hills; grandchildren, Lena Meredith, Daniel Baumgarten, Jay Meredith and Julie Baumgarten; other loving relatives and friends.
