He was the proud owner and president of Matthews Lumber Co. of Windsor. He was also president of the Lumber Dealers Association of Ontario. Mr. Muroff was a graduate of the University of Windsor, an active mem- ber of Rotary, where he was honored with the Paul Harris Award. He also sat on the board of Probus, an organiza- tion that honored individuals who in their own right were heroes, and was a member of B'nai B'rith, Temple Beth El and Essex Golf and Country Club. He loved being surrounded by fam- ily and friends, but mostly enjoyed being with his wife of 39 years, Rita. He was a businessman known for his integrity and generosity and will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched and helped. Mr. Muroff is survived by his wife, Rita Muroff of Windsor; children, Rabbi Miriam Jerris and Stephen Stawicki of Huntington Woods, Patte Muroff and Gordon Walker of Toronto, Ontario, Steven Baum, Lauree Baum Pasqualitto of Windsor, Lisa Isack of West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Alison and Adam Chalom, Michael and Gwendolyn Jerris, Jordan, Shaina and Josh Autterson, Elizabeth Isack; great-grandchildren, Eva, May and Jonah; loving nieces and nephews.
