I saw places that I had heard about,
made amazing friends and met my
wonderful Jewish boyfriend."
After the trip, Sudit became
more involved in Hillel. "Because of
Birthright, I know more Jewish kids on
campus and I feel comfortable at Hillel
when I come to Friday night Shabbat
dinners!'
Sudit says she intends to get involved
in additional Hillel programming. EJ

T
hree college friends are prov-
ing that a college diploma is not
a prerequisite for a successful
business when they recently purchased
GoGreenMenus.com, a Web site that allows
residents of East Lansing to order food,
peruse menus and check out the latest deals
on meals — all with the click of a mouse.
Josh Fishman and Adam Luger, both of
West Bloomfield, and Matt Weitzman of
Huntington Woods, all age 20 and students
at Michigan State University, are taking
business or advertising courses, but say
much of the knowledge gained about their
business has been on-the-job education.
"Our classes are helpful, but one of the
keys to success in this kind of business is
social skills," Fishman explained. "Unlike
our competition, we've been able to form
actual relationships with advertisers, res-
taurants and users."
The friends agreed that support from the
Jewish community and resources of a large
university like MSU have been invaluable.
"Participating in the Jewish Student
Union and Jewish Business Association
provides a strong social network and sup-
port system',' Luger said.
Jewish Student Union President David
Mindell, 21, of West Bloomfield introduced
the three students to the founders of the
site, Ross Lipson and Howie Migdal. In
addition to the Jewish Student Union and
the Jewish Business Association, the trio is
very involved in Hillel events and attends
Shabbat dinners at Hillel weekly.
GoGreenMenus.com stands out because
it does not cater to several universities, but
only to MSU. Since acquiring the company
in August, the trio has launched a new,
improved Web site that boasts a user-
friendly design with simple navigation
tools.
GoGreenMenus.comis Adam Luger, Matt
Weitzman and Josh Fishman
The Web site is updated and maintained
by all three partners — they are the only
employees of Go GreenMenus.com .
"I think it helps that we're not corporate,'
Fishman said. "We're students just like our
users. We order from the same places and
have the same needs."
The site is free to users. The owners
receive a percentage of food orders placed
through the site as well as funds from ads.
Fishman, Luger and Weitzman believe
MSU's large campus (46,045 students) side-
walk ads and unpredictable weather will
contribute to 200 people ordering on the
site daily by the end of December. E
