Michigan's Children with their Legacy
Hero award. She is the sponsor of a
new law and co-sponsor of others in
a recent bi-partisan package that will
more quickly move foster children into

The Jewish Theological Seminary's

the Cantors Assembly on Dec. 9 in
New York City. Among the honorees
who were awarded honorary doc-
tor of music degrees were Joseph
Birnholtz of Boynton Beach, formerly
of Detroit, and Earl G. Berris, cantor
of Congregation B'nai Moshe in West
