She was a member of the Council of
Jewish Women, ORT and Temple Judea
in California.
Mrs. Kern is survived by her hus-
band of 63 years, Sam Kern of Laguna
Woods; son and daughter-in-law, Marc
and Brandy Kern of Beverly Hills;
daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and
Allen Goodman of Chicago; grand-
children, Alex and Madison Kern,
Jessica and Michael Metz; brother and
sister-in-law, Bob "Sonny" and Marilyn
Freedman.
She was the beloved sister of the
late Rosie Miller and the late Mildred
"Mimi" Hozman.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
