arla Janowitz and S.J. Cherrin
were married recently at
Seldom Blues in Detroit. Rabbi
Tamara Kolton officiated.
Their children, Alec, Brendan, Jakey and
Ava Rose, each took a turn signing the
ketubah and then lovingly joined them
under the chuppah during the ceremony.
Marla and S.J.'s magnificent chuppah was
created for them by their family and friends.
Each person uniquely decorated a piece of
fabric, and then all the pieces of fabric were
sewn together to create a beautiful quilt that
will be treasured as a family heirloom.
Marla and S.J. were honored to have
grandmother of the bride Mary Must in attendance, along with their parents,
siblings and friends.
The family now reside in West Bloomfield, and a family honeymoon vacation
is planned for next winter.
Kelman-Rein
anet Kelman of Huntington Woods and
David Rein of Ann Arbor were married
recently in an outdoor ceremony at the
Richardson Community Center in Walled
Lake. Rabbi Marvin Goodman of Foster City,
Calif., the bride's brother-in-law, officiated.
The chuppah was held by the bride's sis-
ters, Deborah Kelman and Miriam Kelman;
the groom's oldest friend, Robert Irvin; and
nephew, Yona Rein.
Jean Appleby was maid of honor and Tavi
Prundeanu served as best man. Gwen Kelman,
the bride's mother and the groom's new moth-
er-in-law, thoroughly enjoyed the day.
The couple spent a sunny honeymoon in the Leelanau and will reside in Ann
Arbor.
