He is the brother of Rachel, Dani and Garrett and the grandchild of Phyllis and Kenneth Katz, Pam and Dr. Gene Sklar and Fern Rott. He is also the grandchild of the late David Rott. Kevin is a student at Cranbrook Kingswood Middle School for Boys in Bloomfield Hills. Among his various mitzvah projects, he volunteered at Gleaners Food Bank of Detroit and felt that it was a meaningful project. Jami Alexa Laub, daughter of Karen Laub and Gregory Laub, will celebrate her bat mitzvah Friday, Dec. 12, at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. She is the sister of Laub Sydney and Ryan. Her proud grandparents are Marilyn and Barry Charlip and Lynne and Robert Laub. Jami attends Berkshire Middle School in Beverly Hills. Among her many mitzvah projects she felt volun- teering at Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield was the most significant. Meagan Taylor Soffin will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Temple Emanu- El in Oak Park. She is the daughter of Steven and Karen Soffin and the sister of Mallory. Sharing in the celebration will be her grand- parents, Otto and Norma Hess and Irene Soffin. Soffin Meagan is an eighth-grade student at Norup International School in Oak Park. She felt her most meaning- ful mitzvah project was working at Temple Emanu-El summer camp and nursery school. Max Evan Zuckerberg, togeth- er with his parents, Sue and Dr. Erik Zuckerberg, and his sister Rachel, will cel- ebrate his bar mitz- vah during Havdalah Zuckerberg services Saturday, Dec. 13, at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. Sharing in the simchah will be his grandparents Betty and Arnold Waxman, Laura and Dr. Ronald Miller, Kay and Robert Zuckerberg and his very proud great- grandmother Jennie Solomon.
