Shop For A Cause
A newly formed group, WomenForce,
has linked with two West Bloomfield
specialty stores to sponsor an
inaugural gathering and a night of
shopping for a cause 6:30-8 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 4.
The event starts at Zoe's Lace,
6907 Orchard Lake Road, and will
conclude at Ruby's Balm, also on
the Boardwalk. Ten percent of the
evening's purchases will benefit
Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital. The
evening includes light refreshments,
networking and information about
WomenForce.
WomenForce is a membership-
based organization supporting
Huron Valley-Sinai's Charach Cancer
Treatment Center, the Sinai Center for
Women and other hospital programs
geared for women. It is co-chaired
by Elena Brand of Farmington Hills,
Sheryll Kollin of Farmington Hills, Gail
Offen of Hartland and Leslie Pardo of
Livonia.
"WomenForce is a way for women
to give back to their healthcare com-
munity as well as a way to empower
women to take charge of their health.
These four women want to help sup-
port the hospital and its programs
geared for women:' said Sharona
Shapiro, director of development at
Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital.
