The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit's Center Fitness has just completed a new cookbook, Our Best Recipes, with delicious ideas for everything from nuts to soup and, most important, delectable sweets like marshmallow brownies. It's the second cookbook in the club's history. Cheri Victor. "Since those cookbooks are no longer available and we are always sharing recipes in our health club, it just seemed like the right time." The women began soliciting recipes last April; contributors sent in more than 600, which volunteers categorized and edited. Yes, there were plenty FAFtlEdiErCleaning- ! of healthy recipes (this is, after all, a collection from a health club), but also "fun recipes, traditional recipes" and a few from celebrities, Victor says. According to Victor, "We had more than 35 girls on the committee and over 250 contributors. "By doing this, we are creating a legacy — and those wonderful recipes will be shared FREE by many."
