Fisher Federation Building in Bloomfield Township. Arthur Horwitz, publisher of the Detroit- Jewish News, will serve as program moderator. Following a career of nearly 40 years at the helm of HomeTown Communications, a group of 62 com- munity newspapers including the Observer & Eccentric newspapers, which he founded, Power established the Center for Michigan in 2006. A think-and-do tank, the Center for Michigan is aimed at improving the policy and political environment in Michigan by developing a series of far- reaching, broadly acceptable reforms in taxing, spending and the priorities of state government. Turkish Jewish Relations Former Turkish Ambassador Mustafa Aksin and Curator of the Jewish Museum in Turkey Naim Guleryuz will discuss Turkish-Jewish history and current diplomatic relations at a des- sert reception at the Townsend Hotel on Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 7:30-8:45 p.m. The program is open to the pub- lic, but reservations are required. In addition to his work with the Jewish Museum in Turkey, Naim Guleryuz is also the vice president of the Quincentennial Foundation, which serves to educate the public about the history and culture of Turkish Jews. A moderated question and answer session with the audience will follow the speakers' remarks.
