Major Documents On Display

Dr. Mitchell Cappell will be the guest speaker at a dinner sponsored by
Young Israel of Southfield on Sunday evening, Nov. 23. He will discuss
various original documents in his collection of Judaica, including some
concerning the Holocaust and the founding of the State of Israel.
Among the documents are the original agreement for founding the
city of Tel Aviv, the original telegram by Theodor Herzl publicizing the
Turkish sultan's greeting to the Second Zionist Congress and telegrams
between chief rabbis and U.S. congressmen about saving Jews during
the Holocaust.
The dinner, featuring French cuisine, will take place at the Jewish
Community Center in West Bloomfield.
