He was instrumental in the development of the outlet mall con- cept from its inception. He was involved in the Design Michigan program for close to 15 years. Through the program, he worked with the Downtown Development Authorities in local communities around the state, analyzing their downtown areas and recommending signage, graphic and design upgrades to revitalize their local and historical significance. Mr. Gluckman was also an early member of the Birmingham Temple, becoming the third president and was in charge of their art show for the last five years as well as being an executive board member. He was a past member of the American Society of Interior Designers and was a jazz lover and music aficionado. He is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Gluckman; sons and daughters- in-law, Kerry and Raquel Gluckman of Ferndale, Matthew Gluckman and Robin Remer of Deerfield, Ill.; sister and brother-in-law Joanne and Joseph Salins of Cherry Hill, N.J.; grandchil- dren, Loren and Danielle Gluckman; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandra (Jerry) Brenner; many other loving family members and friends.
