Michael Austin Daniels will become a bar mitzvah on Friday, Oct. 24, at the Birmingham Temple in Farmington Hills. He is the son of Allan and Kelly Daniels, brother of Leah and the grandson of Larry and Sharon Daniels and Lanny and Kathy Austin. He is the great- grandson of Virgil and Louise Winfield. Michael is in the Daniels eighth grade at East Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. He participated in several mitzvah projects; his most special project was assisting in a wheelchair tennis instructional program with Athletes Unlimited. John Eric Mansfield, son of Maureen and Mike Mansfield, cel- ebrated his bar mitzvah during Havdalah ser- vices Saturday, Oct. 11, at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. He is the Mansfield brother of Rebecca and the grandson of Deborah Weisserman, Elenore and Jack Mansfield. He is also the grandson of the late Harold Weisserman, John is a student at East Middle School in Farmington Hills. His mitzvah project was to help to rebuild a home in the Rebuild Together Oakland County program by doing drywailing and other necessary projects. Alec Stuart Segel, son of Carol Graff Segel and Dr. Mark Segel, will celebrate his bar mitzvah during Havdalah services at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Saturday, Oct. 25. He is the brother of Blake. His proud grand- parents are Laurie and Chester Figg and Sara Lee Segel. He is also the grandson of the late Stuart A. Graff and the late Louis Segel. Alec is a student at Roeper Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. Adam Burt Duchin Shapiro (Baruch Eliyahou) will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah during the Havdalah service on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Congregation Shaarey Shapiro Zedek Southfield.
