was a veteran of World War II, having
served as a lieutenant in the Office
of Strategic Services. He had a long
career in retail in the Detroit area
prior to his retirement.
After his retirement, he was active
in local photography groups and vol-
unteered as an Oakland County pro-
bation officer. He was also a member
of the Jewish War Veterans and the
American Legion.
Mr. Holberg is survived by
his wife, Doris Holberg of West
Bloomfield; sons and daughters-
in-law, Bruce and Roslyn Holberg
of Lafayette Hill, Pa., Roger and
Corinne Holberg of Kensington, Md.;
grandchildren, Robert and Ross
Holberg; brother, Stanley Holberg of
Watertown, N.Y; sister-in-law, Sylvia
Barolw of Williamsville, N.Y; many
nieces and nephews.
Interment at Beth El Memorial
Park Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to Temple Emanu-El, 14450
W 10 Mile, Oak Park, MI 48237,
(248) 967-4020, or to a charity of
one's choice. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

He was born
in Ostrolenka,
Poland.

in-law, Natalie and
Reed Newland of
Ann Arbor; grand-
children, Edward
Leon Newland,
Rosa Evelyn
Newland; nephews
and nieces, Abe and Esther Schwartz,
Boris and Raja Iglewicz; loving great-
nieces and great-nephews.
He was the dear brother of the
late Sarah Iglewicz and the late
Zelda Schwartz.
