In the 1950s, he lived in northwest
Detroit and was a founding member
of the Evergreen Jewish Congregation,
which merged with Beth Moses
and later with Beth Abraham (now
Congregation Beth Ahm). He was a
vibrant member and served in many
capacities, including three times as
president: first in 1959-1961, then
1968-1970 and then 1993-1995.
Mr. Levy was also active in the
Furniture Club, serving as its presi-
dent. He was a longtime member of
the Southfield Police Auxiliary and
of the Jewish War Veterans and the
Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine
"Gerry" Levy; son and daughter-
in-law, Steven and Monique Levy
of Calarasis, Calif.; daughter and
son-in-law, Ellen and Kenneth Apsel
of Farmington Hills; grandchildren,
Carrie and Rabbi Josh Hearshen,
Dayna and Isaac Slutsky, Jason Levy,
Blake Levy, Spencer Levy; sisters-in-
law, Gladys Allen, Edith Allen, Jeannie
Levy; dear caregiver, Dyetta Campbell;
numerous nieces, nephews and
friends.
Mr. Levy was the loving brother of
the late Ralph Levy and the late David
Levy.

Brodie.
Mrs. Moss was the dear sister of
the late Robert Craine, the late Ann
Feinberg, the late Esther Finkelstein,
the late Nellie Wykoff, the late Max
Craine and the late Abe Craine; sister-
in-law of the late Arthur Benson.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery

DR. HOWARD PARVEN, 82, of

Bloomfield Hills, died peacefully at
