of Birmingham will be called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah Saturday, Sept. 27, at
Congregation Shaarey

Jacob is a student at Norup
International School in Oak Park. For
his mitzvah project, he volunteered twice
monthly for 10 months, mentoring and
befriending an autistic child in the neigh-
borhood.

Benjamin Isaac Beltser
will lead the congrega-

in West Bloomfield

he celebrates his bar
mitzvah. He is the son of

the late Alexey Beltser. His great-grand-
mother is Khaya Grad and his late great-
grandfather was Daniil Grad.
Benjamin is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. He
helped sort vegetables and plants with
Earth Works Urban Farming and felt this
was a very meaningful mitzvah project.

the most meaningful of her mitzvah projects.
