Metro Detroit s First Reconstructionist Corwregation
15000 West Ten Mile Road in Oak Park

NO TICKETS NEEDED!

MEET OUR NEW RABBI,

We don't believe in High Holy Day tickets at
Congregation T'chiyah. Let us welcome you here.

Congregation T'chiyah is proud to present Rabbi Jason Miller as our
new spiritual leader. He will deliver
insightful sermons throughout the High
Holy Day season, as well as lead study
sessions & moderate discussions focused
on the themes of the holiday season.

You will feel included in our community even if...
*you're single
*you're "not-so-Jewish"
*you're gay or lesbian
*you've never heard of Reconstructionist Judaism
*you've never enjoyed going to synagogue before

Reconstructionist Judaism is a modern North American Jewish move-
ment founded on the ideas of the late Rabbi Mordecai Kaplan who for
many years was a professor at the Jewish Theological Seminary. The
movement views Judaism as an evolving religious civilization of the
Jewish people. Among other views, adherents of Reconstructionist
Judaism emphasize the importance of traditional practices, but also
emphasize that"the past has a voice, not a veto."

Congregation T'chiyah encourages you to
begin the New Year with a commitment
to learning. Rabbi Miller will offer a weekly Introduction to Judaism
class open to members and non-members. A monthly Lunch 'n
Learn at a Downtown Detroit law firm will focus on business ethics.
