Abigael Elizabeth Finkle of Buffalo Grove, Ill., will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Congregation Beth Judea in Long Grove, Finkle Ill. Her proud par- ents are Davida and Scott Finkle; her mother is formerly of Southfield. Abby is the sister of Joshua and Jamie and the granddaughter of Faith Finkle of Buffalo Grove. She participated in Beth Judea's 13 mitzvot program, which included volunteering at the local library. Michael Lawrence Cohen of West Bloomfield will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah at Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills on Saturday, Sept. Cohen 6. He is the son of Debbie Cohen. He is also the brother of Evan. Michael is the grandson of the late Lawrence Wizel and the late Molly Wizel. He is the great-grandson of Sara Galer and the late Morris Galer. Michael is a student at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills. His mitzvah projects included donating his hair to make wigs for child cancer patients.
