Danto 100th

thel Danto, former Detroiter of
Sarasota, Fla., marked her 100th
birthday Saturday, July 12, 2008, at
a Florida celebration, hosted by her ador-
ing children, Pat and Bob Baer of Longboat
Key, Fla., and Larry and Linda Danto of
California. Her proud grandchildren hosted
the brunch the next morning. Friends
and family traveled from the east coast of
Florida, from Michigan, Illinois, California
and even Paris, France, to toast her on a long
life, filled with loving devotion to family and
friends.

Pollack-Bloom

I

oan Bloom and Edward Pollack are
pleased to announce their recent mar-
riage in Boca Raton, Fla. The ceremony
was officiated by Rabbi Henry Balser of
Temple Beth Shalom. The reception took
place at the Hilton Hotel in Boca Raton.
The couple were happy to have many
friends and relatives in attendance.
The bride's attendants were her daughter,
Stacy Bloom, maid of honor, and close friend
Ann Grey, matron of honor.
The best man was the groom's brother,
Fred Pollack. Serving as groomsmen were
David Pollack and Brian Pollack, sons of the
groom.
The couple were thrilled to have the groom's mother, Mary Pollack, walk down
the aisle. The bride was delighted to have her cousin Ruth Schultz accompany
her down the aisle.
The couple were honored to have the bride's cousin Jane Rosenthal perform
Hebrew songs for the processional.
The couple reside in West Bloomfield and Boca Raton.

auren Alyse Dermer and Mark
David Singer were married recently
in Muskegon at Congregation B'nai
Israel by Rabbi Alan Alpert.
Lauren, from Farmington Hills and the
daughter of Shari Cohen and Arthur Dermer,
is a University of Michigan School of Art
and Design graduate and is acting art direc-
tor for MetroPro Corp. in Chicago.
Mark, from Muskegon and the son of
Helen and Jerry Singer, is a graduate of
U-M Business School, DePaul University
law school in Chicago with a John Marshall
master's in real estate law and is principal of
Armor Realty and Investments LLC in Chicago, where the couple are residing.
