Rachel Emily
Krasnick will be
called to the Torah
as a bat mitzvah at
Temple Emanu-El in
Oak Park on Saturday,
Aug. 30. She is the
daughter of Jane and
Krasnick
Robert Krasnick and
the big sister of Leah
and Julie. Joining in the celebration
will be Rachel's grandparents Ellen
and Herbert Lux and Marjorie and
William Krasnick.
Rachel is an eighth-grade student
at Norup International School in
Oak Park. She loved volunteering at
Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield
for her mitzvah project.

Jamie Michaela
Ockner will celebrate
her bat mitzvah
at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek
Southfield on Rosh
Chodesh, Sunday,
Aug. 31. She is the
Ockner
daughter of Karen
and Dan Ockner and
sister of Rachel. Sharing in the sim-
chah will be her proud grandparents
Joanna and Eli Berger and Paula and
Stephen Ockner.
Jamie attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. Helping
out at Farmington Hills-based JARC
was one of most meaningful mitzvah
projects.

Podell and brother of
Ross, will become a
bar mitzvah at Adat
Shalom Synagogue
in Farmington Hills
on Saturday, Aug. 30.

are Sue and Dave
Korenstein and Marilyn and Arnold
Podell.
Jacob attends Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield. As part of
his mitzvah project, he volunteered
his time at the Adat Shalom nursery
school summer camp.

Jennifer Rabens
will be called to
the Torah as a bat
mitzvah and on
Sunday. Aug. 31, at
Congregation Beth
Shalom in Oak Park.
She is the daughter
Jennifer
of Jenise and David
Rabens
Rabens and the
brother of Becky,
Nathan and Jordan.
She is the granddaughter of Ann
Rabens of Morton Grove, Ill., and the
late Bernard Rabens.
Jennifer attends Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield. Her
favorite mitzvah project was volun-
teering at the West Bloomfield-based
Friendship Circle. She observed her
bat mitzvah on Aug. 7 at Masada in
Israel.

He is the grandson of Ann Rabens
of Morton Grove, Ill., and the late
Bernard Rabens.
Jordan attends Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield. His favorite
mitzvah project was helping out at the
JCC roller rink in West Bloomfield. He
observed his bar mitzvah on Aug. 7 at
Masada in Israel.

will celebrate her
bat mitzvah at
Temple Kol Ami in
West Bloomfield on
Saturday, Aug. 30.
Reinhold
She is the daughter
of Debbie Toder and
Lawrence Reinhold and the sister of
Ben. Her grandparents are Lin and Sol
Toder of Pittsburgh and the late Ethel
and the late Joseph Reinhold.
Yael attends the Roeper School in
Bloomfield Hills. She has an affinity
for community service projects involv-
ing young children.
