of Chicago. Gilad Tzvi is named in lov-
ing memory of his great-grandfathers
Herschel Feldman and Harry Berkove.
Leslie Nicole Alter,
daughter of Denise Alter,
the late Dr. John Alter
and Michael E. Tobin, will
celebrate her bat mitzvah
at Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield Saturday,
Aug. 23, during Havdalah
Alter
services. She is the sister
of Carolyn, Andrea and
Channa, Erica and Geoff, Brian, Alan, Mara.
Her grandparents are Dorothy Webber and
the late Leon Webber, the late Clara Alter
and late Irving Alter. She is also the grand-
child of Rhoda and Marshall Tobin.
Leslie attends West Hills Middle School
in Bloomfield Hills. Working at Temple
Israel's booth for Relay for Life was her
most meaningful mitzvah project.
Steffany Shawn
Ellenstein, daughter
of Sheryl (Markel) and
Robert Ellenstein, will
celebrate her bat mitzvah
at Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield Saturday, Aug.
23. She is the sister of
Ellenstein
Rebecca and Jenna and
the grandchild of Marilyn
and Irving Markel, Sandra and William
Ellenstein.
Steffany is a student at Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills. She felt her
most meaningful mitzvah project will be
collecting books at her bat mitzvah to be
donated to Orchards Children's Services.
Morgan Paige Greenberg, together with
her parents, Alecia and Jeffrey Greenberg,
will celebrate her bat mitzvah on Saturday,
Aug. 23, at Temple Israel
in West Bloomfield. She
is the sister of Ashley
and the grandchild of
Sandi and Judge Michael
Goodman, Paula and
Leonard Greenberg. She is
also the great-grandchild
Greenberg
of the late Molly and the
late Harold Weisz, the late
Fanny and the late Charlie Goodman, the
late Dorothy and the late Larry Goss, the
late Sylvia and the late Julius Greenberg.
Morgan attends Clifford Smart Middle
School, Walled Lake. Collecting for Walk-4-
Friendship and participating in the event
were the most meaningful of her mitzvah
projects.
Bradley Michael
Joshowitz, son of Jeffrey
and Dawn Joshowitz, will
be called to the Torah for
his bar mitzvah service
on Saturday, Aug. 23, at
Congregation Shaarey
Zedek Southfield. He is
Joshowitz
the brother of Evan and
the grandchild of Lillian
Zelenka and Herbert and Joan Joshowitz.
He is also the grandchild of the late
Richard Zelenka.
Bradley is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield. He
enjoyed participating in the Torah Boys
program at the Friendship Circle in West
Bloomfield and looks forward to continue
volunteering there in the future.
Joshua Logan Krupkin
(Tsvi Lev), son of Paul
and Rhonda Krupkin of
Farmington Hills, will
become a bar mitzvah at
Adat Shalom Synagogue
in Farmington Hills
on Saturday, Aug. 23.
Assisting Josh with
this important life pas-
sage will be his brother Aaron. Extremely
proud grandparents are Marilyn Logan of
Farmington Hills, Sair Krupkin and Joe
Krupkin, both from Boca Raton, Fla. Joshua
is honored to be the grandson of the late
Jerome Logan for whom he is named and
with whom he shares a birthday.
Josh found working at Yad Ezra in
Berkley to be extremely rewarding.
