CYRILLE S. FRIEDMAN, 94, of
Laguna Woods, Calif., died July 23,
2008.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Sam Friedman and
Laurie Stein of Palo Alto, Calif.; son-
in-law, Sanford Weimer of Los Angeles;
grandchildren, Aaron and Marni
Friedman, Ilana Friedman; brother, Dr.
Oscar Schwartz.
Mrs. Friedman was the beloved wife
of the late Albert Friedman; loving
mother of the late Jan Weimer.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

DR. GERTRUDE
ZEMON GASS, 92,
of East Lansing, for-
merly of Bloomfield
Hills, died Aug. 1, 2008.
She was clini-
cal psychologist
and a pioneer in
Gass
the women's move-
ment. Dr. Gass received a B.A. degree
from the University of Michigan in
1937, a M.S.W. from the University of
Michigan in 1943 and a Ph.D. from the
University of Michigan in 1957.
In private practice of clinical
psychology before her move to East
Lansing, she was on the faculty of
Merrill-Palmer Institute for years. She
was also on the board of directors of
Sinai Hospital and president of the
Shapiro School of Nursing.
Dr. Gass held top executive positions
in several professional societies and
was a consultant to industrial enter-
prises and community services. She
was also a published author.
She is survived by her husband
of 70 years, Dr. Harvey Gass; daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Susan Gass and
William Josh Ard of Williamston; son,
Roger Gass of Okemos; grandchildren,
Aaron and Kerry Ard, Ethan Ard and
Rabia Belt and Seth Ard.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

He is survived

Dr. Golds is survived by his wife,

of Florida, Daniel and Heidi Golds of
Commerce; brother and sister-in-law,
Bernie and Elka Golds of California.
He was the loving father of the late
Michael David Golds.
