PAUL BARD, 61, of Westland, died July 30,
2008.
He is survived by his brother and
sister-in-law, Allen and Shannon Bard
of Westland; sisters and brothers-in-
law, Janice and Dr. Lary Berkower of
Southfield, Phyllis and Sanford Schaap of
Northville.
Mr. Bard was the loving son of the late
Joseph and the late Florence Bard.

BAJLA BIENENSTOCK,
89, of Oak Park, died
July 29, 2008.
She is survived by

Eva Wimmer of West Bloomfield, Helen

Bienenstock.
Mrs. Bienenstock was the beloved wife
of the late Abraham Bienenstock; loving
sister of the late Rose Bernbaum; dear
sister-in-law of the late Esther Lewkowicz,
the late Philipp Wimmer, the late Irving
Kozuch, the late Herman Marczak, the late
Boris Bernbaum, the late Lena Tree, the
late William Tree.

DR. LEONARD CRANE,
89, of West Bloomfield
and Boca Raton, Fla.,
died July 29, 2008.
He graduated from
Northern Illinois College
of Optometry in 1939
and took great pride in
Crane
his profession, practic-
ing in Ferndale and the
Detroit area for almost 70 years.
Dr. Crane was a longtime member of
Temple Shir Shalom and B'nai Brith. He

was a Scottish Rite Master Mason and a
member of Shrine of Perfection Mosaic
Lodge.
Dr. Crane is survived by his beloved
wife, Blanche Crane; sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Howard and Fredi Crane of
Farmington Hills, Steven and Darlene
Crane of Hayward, Calif., Dr. Jeffrey and
Helene Meral of Parkland Manor, Fla.;
daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Berg and
Stephen Chadwick of Farmington Hills,
Lynda and William Carey of Encinitas,
Calif.; grandchildren, Jeremy Crane, Andy
(Ali) Crane, Lisa (Robert) Entin, Randal
(Erica) Berg, Ryan Meral and Ashley
Meral; great-grandchild, Sammy Entin;
sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirley
and Jack Grant, Ruth and Al Beigler, Mary
and Allan Silverman; many loving nieces,
nephews, other family members and
friends.
He was the dear brother of the late
Annette Borenstein; brother-in-law of the
late Rabbi Samuel Yellin.
Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.

AMY BETH DISHELL, 53, of Salt Lake
City, Utah, formerly of Detroit, died July
23, 2008.
She chaired the Parent Advisory Board
of the JCC Elementary School, giving the
school community a piece of her human-
ity and her hard work. She was also the
recipient of the Visionary Award from
the McGillis School, formerly the JCC
Elementary School.
Mrs. Dishell served on Shalom on the
Range committees, camp committees,
governance committees, executive corn-
mittees, religious school committees, feed
the homeless for Christmas committees,
Chanukah and Passover senior citizen lun-
cheon committees and Bowling for Bucks
committees.
At the time of her passing, she was
a vice president of the board of direc-
tors of the I.J. and Jeanne Wagner Jewish
Community Center. Her mantra through-
out her service in community organiza-
tions was that we are all one family and
that we need to treat each other with the
consideration, generosity, understanding
and respect befitting of family.
Mrs. Dishell is survived by her husband,
Rabbit Felton; daughter, Jessica R. Csanky;
son, Willy Felton; sister, Susan Dishell;
parents, Donald and Elissa Dishell; many
aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

MELVIN LEE DURBIN,
76, of Bloomfield Hills,
died Aug. 3, 2008.
He was a real estate
broker and former part-
ner of Ralph Manuel
Realtors. Mr. Durbin
was also president of the
Durbin
Michigan Association of
Realtors in 1990, director of the National
Association of Realtors, president of
the Birmingham/Bloomfield Board of
Realtors, a photographer and boater.
He is survived by his wife, Renee
Durbin; daughters and sons-in-law, Cam
and Dr. Buddy Weisman of North Carolina,
Tracey Durbin and Dr. Lance Anderson
of Oregon, Perri and Michael Cauley of
Bloomfield Hills, Leilani Leigh Durbin
of Hawaii, Cory and Bryan Esterline of
Commerce Township; son, Skip Durbin
of Bloomfield Hills; grandchildren,
Casey Morrison, Grady Morrison, Drew
Morrison, Eden Schwartz, Jared Boe,
Jaclyn Cauley, Danielle Cauley, Jackson
Esterline, Caitlyn Esterline, Ty Esterline;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,
Howard and Dayle Mevis, Alan Mevis
and Maureen O'Donnell; mother-in-law,
Edythe Mevis; nieces and nephews.
He was the beloved son of the late Philip
and the late Rose Dubrinsky; the loving
brother of the late Irving Dubrinsky, the
late Gerald Dubrinsky; dear son-in-law of
the late Marvin Mevis.

DAVID HAROLD FINKEL, 94, of
Southfield, died July 30, 2008.
He was a retail furniture executive and a
member of Perfection Mosaic Lodge 530.
Mr. Finkel is survived by his daugh-

Richard Sutton of Traverse City, Terri and
Kamal Orcan of Switzerland; son and
daughter-in-law, Steven and Tracy Finkel

He was the beloved husband of the late
Irene Finkel; the loving father of the late
Leonard Finkel; the dear brother of the
