Joe Lakier, 22, of Oak Park and Dave
Schwartz, 24, of Farmington Hills, are
law students who attended the meet-
ing. They'll soon graduate and decide
whether to stay in their hometown or
look for jobs elsewhere.
"The two concerns for law students
are jobs and a sense of community,"
Schwartz said. "It's good that there's a
push to get those of us in our mid-20's
back involved."
Lakier agreed.
"It's a great idea and I think it'll get
a lot of people to come together:' he
said. "There are those of us who like
this area and want to stay here. We
hope things will turn around."
