Water features are a
soothing home attraction.

nstalling a water feature to your
backyard is a great way to create
instant aesthetic value to any setting.
Options abound for the do-it-yourself
homeowner. Selecting the right water fea-
ture for your budget, skill level and com-
mitment to maintenance can leave many
people uncertain about the best choice.
Novices may be well served by visiting
a "big box" hardware store and pulling a
one-size-fits-all system off the shelf. But
for the homeowner who wants to make
sure the end result is customized for his
yard, visiting a water-feature or irriga-
tion-supply store is the best way to ensure
getting expert advice from an experienced
landscape industry professional.
"We spend a lot of time with our cus-

tomers to determine their wants and
preferences," said Dave Ouwinga, vice
