The event takes place Wednesday,
July 30, at 8 a.m. at the Max M. Fisher
Federation Building, Bloomfield
Township.
Johndahl has spent much of his
life in public service. He was elected
to the state House of Representatives
and has sponsored and led success-
ful efforts to enact environmental
and consumer protection laws, nota-
bly Michigan's Mandatory Deposit
Act ("Bottle Bill"), the Sand Dune
Protection Act, the Generic Drug Act
and the Handicapper Civil Rights
Act.

Devaney earned an undergradu-
ate degree from the University of
Michigan and a law degree from

She is the mother of one son. Her
husband, Dennis, served as a three-
time presidential appointee in the
Reagan and George H. W. Bush admin-
istrations.

repeal/reform of the Michigan
Business Tax, fully fund our schools
through legislative reform of Proposal

ment opportunities in Michigan.
Devaney has been active in the
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit and B'nai B'rith. Her family
is affiliated with Temple Israel, West
Bloomfield.
He chairs the State of Michigan
Board of Ethics.

between key decision makers and the
Jewish community.

CHaZaKaH/Young-at-Heart mem-
bers at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July
24, at Adat Shalom Synagogue in
Farmington Hills.
