It is a further responsibility to become involved with the community. I live in the area and
have become involved with the local school districts. Education, being so important in
our lives, I have decided to volunteer my time and finances to improve local education,
both public and private. Showing kids how science is utilized outside the office by giving
science presentations, career day presentations, and depending upon the age level, oral
hygiene classes.

Community responsibilities don't end with schools but go beyond, in becoming involved
with baseball leagues, other sports, school teams of varying types, extra curricular
activities, gymnastic gyms, dance studios etc. Being involved with kids, you should serve
as an example and help make a difference.

Orthodontics Is a great career choice and we have allowed adolescents to "job shadow"
and see how truly rewarding a career in orthodontics can be.

Being an orthodontist is, in my opinion the greatest occupation I can imagine. I don't
use the word job, because although it Is a responsibility, tt's also a pleasure, and to be
honest, a lot of fun. Becoming involved In kid's lives and watching them grow and mature

seeing his or her self-esteem increase, Is a true delight.

In my office, we all try to go that extra mile, and not only make kid's feel comfortable with
the environment we have created, but work constantly In boosting their sett worth and

influence others positively and make our community a better place.
