Answering Israel's Critics

The Charge
The "Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human
Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories"
created by the U.N. General Assembly declared last week that Israel has caused
human rights conditions in the Palestinian territories and Palestinian prisoner
conditions to deteriorate.

The Answer
The U.N. report follows a long record of bias coming from that institution. As
the Middle East's only democracy, Israel's government, military and prison
authorities follow strict national and international law to preserve and protect
the rights of Palestinian residents of the territories and those in prisons.
