The world is just
a meal away when
you add simple
yet exotic recipes
to your summer
grilling menu.

STYLED AND WRITTEN BY ANNABEL COHEN

PHOTOGRAPHS BY ANGIE BAAN

Where there's smoke there's fire. And where there's fire, there's grilling. Add a luxurious yard, replete with pool
and tiki bar, and there's a party waiting to begin.
Every country has its grilling methods and foods of choice. The mention of India conjures images of
deep crimson and golden-hued spices and yogurt marinades that define the Tandoori style of cooking, while
Vietnamese influences include peanuts, sesame oil, fresh lime and rice vinegar. While cooking methods and
recipes may differ, these foods all have fire in common. Add a savory side, a cool and fruity dessert and a cocktail
and you've got the whole world in your hands.
Pull up a bamboo barstool or laze on a chaise, and ignite the grill to sizzling. It's summer in Michigan, but
these flavors from around the planet are out of this world. PHOTOGRAPHED ON LOCATION AT THE HOME OF

JEFF AND LAURIE FISCHGRUND, BLOOMFIELD HILLS.
