JORDON MELLEN, 79, of Oak Park,
died June 21, 2008.
He owned and operated several deli-
catessens in Michigan. A Navy veteran,
he served two terms in the Korean
Conflict and also served in World War II.
Mr. Mellen is survived by his son,
Andrew Mellen of New York City;
nieces and nephews, Dr. Gary and
Ethel Rosenblatt, Susan and Maurice
Turetsky, Jeffrey and Betty Mellen and
Douglas Mellen.
He was the beloved brother of the
late Betty Rosenblatt, the late Annette
Mellen and the late Morton Mellen.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

BETTY MERNA, 83,
of Novi, died June
15, 2008.
She is survived
by her daughters,

Mrs. Merna was the beloved wife of
the late Walter Merna; devoted sister
of the late Mollie (the late Jack) Ekter.
Interment at the B'nai Israel

SEAN SACHS, 27, of Farmington
Hills, died June 21, 2008.
He is survived by his parents, Debra

FYLIS SIPORIN,
79, of Farmington
Hills, died June 19,
2008.
She was the past
president of several
B'nai B'rith chapters,
a volunteer at Sinai
Siporin
Hospital in the surgi-
cal waiting room and eye clinic, a volun-
teer at Berry Center and at Maisel Breast
Center. She volunteered for over 40 years
for all these organizations.
Mrs. Siporin is survived by her sons,
Douglas Parel of Farmington Hills,
Richard Parel of Oak Park; daughters
and sons-in-law, Elyse and Ed Streit
of Farmington Hills, Joni and Don Orr
of Sugar Land, Texas; brother, Gordon
