Zogut and Robert Shapiro Southfield; brother-in-law, Harold Schatz; niece, Claudia N. Schatz (Gary Willis). Mrs. Zogut was the dear sister of the late Judy Schatz. FRANCES ZOLDAN, 78, of Livonia, died June 5, 2008. She was born in Staszow, Poland, and was a Holocaust survivor. She loved to learn. The war ended her formal Zoldan education but she always found a way to learn new things. After the war, she lived in England, where she became a seam- stress. Five years later she moved to New York and went to bookkeep- ing school. She married her beloved husband, Aron, also a Holocaust survivor, with whom she had six children. Furthering her desire to learn, Mrs. Zoldan decided to go back to school to obtain her high school equivalency degree and attended Schoolcraft College for nurs- ing. In addition to her passion for knowl- edge, she adored her family. She was a devoted wife and an amazing mother and grandmother. Mrs. Zoldan is survived by her beloved husband, Aron Zoldan; daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred and Michael Pivoz of Farmington Hills, Reena and Stuart Arnold of Piano, Texas, Sandra and Jay Colvin of West Bloomfield, Brenda and Corey Freedman of Carmel, Ind.; son and daugh- ter-in-law, Martin and Elise Zoldan of West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Jason (Melissa) and Benjamin Pivoz, Craig and Eric Arnold, Ethan and Dayna Zoldan, Jeffrey, Steven and Jaclyn Colvin, Joseph, Mathew, Adam and Heather Freedman.
