r. Mark and Miriam Goldberg
of West Bloomfield are thrilled
to announce the engagement
of their daughter Ilana Claire to Adam Lee
Block, son of Ronald and Lisa Kohn of
Solon, Ohio.
Ilana and Adam met at the University of
Michigan, where Ilana earned her bach-
elor of arts degrees in sociology and Near
Eastern studies and Adam earned his bach-
elor of business administration degree in
finance from the Stephen M. Ross School of
Business.
Ilana is a Dean's Merit Scholar at the
Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York. Adam is an investment bank-
ing analyst in the Financial Sponsors group at Credit Suisse, also in New York.
An August wedding is planned at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield.

daughter Maine Michelle to Ronnie, son of
Lea and Yehuda Ashkenazi of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Maine received her bachelor of arts in
psychology from University of Michigan
and her master's degrees in social work and
Jewish studies at Columbia University and
Jewish Theological Seminary in New York
City. She is the director of volunteer services
at UJA-Federation of New York.
Ronnie received his bachelor of busi-
ness administration in accounting from
Baruch College in New York City. He is an accounting manager for the Lefrak
Organization.
An August wedding is planned at Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington
Hills.
