JUST IN TIME for Father's Day, our own
Robin Schwartz — who writes Platinum's
monthly Faces and Four Questions columns
— has debuted a new "face" of her own:
Daughter Olivia Mira Goldstein was born on
Saturday, May 17. Mazel tov to Robin, her
husband Jon and the whole family.
Also in time for Father's Day, this issue
of Platinum offers an assortment of ideas for
celebrating Dad. See the Buzz (on page B12) for great gift ideas.
And in "Have Putter, Will Travel," we talk to four local fathers who
have developed a buddy system for trying out their dream golfing
destinations all over the country. Turn to page B14 to read all about
their adventures — and for our list of the Top 10 golf resorts in the
U.S. Lastly, we talk to another local dad in Four Questions: Rabbi
Steven Rubenstein muses about fatherhood, his wife's cooking — and
something that even his Beth Ahm congregants would be surprised
to know about him! Turn to page B30 to find out what.

Above, left: My mom, Miriam Konstantin, and I were among 650 women who attended Woman's World 2008
at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield. To see more "Faces" from the event, turn to page B7. Above,
right: Olivia Mira Goldstein was born to Platinum columnist Robin Schwartz and her husband, Jon Goldstein,

on Saturday, May 17.
