Yoskowitz has conducted this service for 14 years. "I am a veteran myself and it's a gift to be able to defend one's country," he said. "How can we not remember those who helped defend what our country is and strives to be?" Buglers from Ferndale High School as well as Ben Duchan, 16, of Huntington Woods sounded taps. Members of the Boy Scouts of America's local Venturing Crew 18 also took part. Additional services were held at Hebrew Memorial Park in Mt. Clemens later on Sunday.
