Marks-Swedler

S

teven and Carolyn Marks are delighted to
announce the engagement of their daughter
Amy Lauren to Aaron Matthew Swedler,
son of Steven Swedler and Nancy Swedler of Akron,
Ohio.
After graduation from the University of Michigan,
Amy received her medical degree from Philadelphia
College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a practic-
ing pediatrician. In July, she will begin a fellowship
in pediatric allergy and immunology in Cleveland,
Ohio.
Aaron received his bachelor's degree from
Miami of Ohio, master's of business administra-
tion from Cleveland State University and law degree
from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He is an associate at Dreyfuss Williams and
Associates in Cleveland.
An October wedding is planned at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield.

Graff-Lerchin

I heryl Deborah Lerchin and Alan
Sherman Graff were recently mar-
ried at Hotel Baronette in Novi. Rabbi
Michael Moskowitz of Temple Shir Shalom in West
Bloomfield officiated. The bride's uncle, Rabbi
Daniel Fogel of Syosset, N.Y., also participated in the
ceremony.
Cheryl is the daughter of Edward and Ruth
Lerchin of West Bloomfield. Alan is the son of Paul
and Merle Graff of West Bloomfield.
Roberta Drobot, longtime friend of the bride,
was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sophia Grias,
Christine Chamberlain, and Linda Daly, cousin of
the groom.
The best man was the groom's good friend Jason Kief. Groomsmen were Gary Barris
and David Chasnick.
Cheryl and Alan were honored to have Cheryl's grandmother Dora Jacobowitz and
Alan's grandmother Marion Sherman participate in the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple now reside in West Bloomfield.

Chaiken-Corson

) v- ulie and Dennis Chaiken of West Bloomfield
are thrilled to announce the engagement of
their daughter Dana to Scot Corson, son of Teri
and Steve Corson of Louisville, Ky.
Dana and Scot met at the University of Michigan,
where Dana earned her degree in education and Scot
earned his degree in communications.
Dana is finishing her master's degree in library
science from Western Kentucky University in
Bowling Green. She is a third- and fourth-grade
teacher in Louisville.
Scot is an account executive for Miami-based Wax
Communications, also in Louisville.
An August wedding is planned at Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield.

A

ndrea Krass and Shawn McDonald
are engaged to be married.
The bride to be is the daughter
of Carla Perkins of Troy and Edward and
Barbi Krass of West Bloomfield. Her fiance is
the son of Lawrence and Deborah McDonald
of Troy.
An August wedding is planned.

Kronzek-Gutman

oward and Karen Gutman of
Farmington Hills are proud to
announce the engagement of their
son Brian Gutman to Allison Kronzek, daugh-
ter of Chuck and Judy Kronzek of Okemos and
Brina and Al Singletary of Okemos.
Allison earned her bachelor of arts in com-
parative religion from Western Michigan
University in Kalamazoo. She is attending the
Jewish Theological Seminary in New York for
her master's degree in Jewish education.
Brian earned his bachelor of arts in political
science from Western Michigan University and
is attending New York School of Law.
An August wedding is planned in Clarkston. The couple will reside in Manhattan.

Morton-Fenton

oger and Marcia Fenton of West
Bloomfield are delighted to announce
the engagement of their son Jacob
Howard to Amanda Leigh Morton, daughter of
Leo and Sheryl Morton of Deerfield, Ill.
Amanda graduated from the University of
Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a degree
in speech communication. She is a recruiter
for Citadel Investment Group, a hedge fund in
Chicago.
Jacob graduated from the University of
Michigan with an undergraduate business degree
and is working toward a master's degree in busi-
ness administration at the University of Chicago.
He is a managing director with Essex Realty Group in Northbrook, Ill.
An August wedding is planned in Chicago.
