Residence and Danto
Family Health Center
in West Bloomfield
and the Menorah
House in Southfield.

New features this
year will be Team Spirit, allowing
teams of walkers from clubs, syna-
gogues and other organizations to reg-
ister and walk as a group, and special
cartoon characters, games, and prizes
for children. The auxiliary's third
annual Tent Sale, following the walk,
will be expanded with such donated
items as furniture, small appliances,
toys and other household goods.
Chabad Center Anniversary
Sarah and Morris Tugman Bais Chabad
Torah Center will celebrate its 34th
anniversary with an annual dinner and
Chinese auction on Tuesday, May 27,
at Young Israel of Oak Park, 15140 10
Mile. Auction viewing begins at 5 p.m.
and the strolling dinner at 6.
The Keser Shaim Toy (Crown of a
Good Name) honorees are Dr. Michael
and Annie Lehmann. He is director of
the EKG Laboratory at the University
of Michigan. She is a published writer
with a new
book, The
Accidental
Teacher: Life
Lessons from
My Silent Son.
The Torah
Center will
present Rabbi

The Walk of Ages will start at 10
a.m. (rain or shine), preceded by reg-
istration at 9 and warm-ups at 9:30.
Walkers can do the minimum 3K
distance (1.8 miles), or the maximum
5K (3.1 miles). Refreshments will be
available at the finish line.
Cost is $18 per person in advance
or $20 on May 18, including a T-shirt;
$36 for a family (two adults and four
children) in advance or $40 on the day
of the event, and Team Spirit registra-
tion ranging from $118 for five to nine
walkers to $354 for 20 walkers. Cost of
a lawn sign on Dedication Lane along
the route is $180. Walkers can earn
incentive prizes by getting family and
friends to sponsor their walk.

Jewish Ensemble Theatre Artistic
Director Evelyn Orbach. Celebrity
walkers expected to attend are Judges
Susan Moiseev, Edward Sosnick and
Marc Baron, Detroit Jewish News
columnist George Cantor, television's
Cheryl Chodun, Sherry Margolis,
Murray Feldman, Murray Gula and
Rich Luterman, radio's "Big Al"
Muskowitz and others.
The JHAS Auxiliary, with more than
1,000 members, has been assisting
elderly residents with projects and
programs for more than 80 years.

Joseph Krupnik with its Community
Service Award. He is kashrus admin-
istrator for the Council of Orthodox
Rabbis of Detroit and provides kashrus
supervision around the country. He is
rabbi of Congregation Shaarey Zedek of
Windsor and teaches in Yeshivat Akiva,
Southfield.
