Sex And Cancer Patients
Attend a free lecture on "Cancer
and Intimacy" 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday,
May 13, at the Karmanos Cancer
Institute's Weisberg Treatment
Center, 31995 Northwestern
Highway, Farmington Hills.
Participants will learn how sex-
ual intimacy is affected by cancer
and its treatment.
Also to be explored are how to
change attitudes, how to commu-
nicate feelings and needs and how
to respect and accept one's body
image. Strategies for maintaining
and reclaiming intimacy and issues
pertinent to couples and singles
will be presented.
Speaking will be Sallie Foley,
director, Center for Sexual Health,
Dept. of Social Work, University of
Michigan Health Systems.
