JGN Family and Friends is a dis-
cussion-support group that meets
on the first Tuesday of every month
at 7 p.m. at the Jewish Community
Center in West Bloomfield.
The next meeting will take place
on Tuesday, May 6, at 7 p.m. in the
former Holocaust Memorial Center
building next to the JCC.
The evening will include friend-
ship, discussion and refreshments.
Guest speaker will be Rabbi Arnie
Sleutelberg of Congregation Shir
Tikvah in Troy. The topic will
be "Evolution or Revolution? It
Depends Whom You Ask: LGBT
Issues in the Jewish Community."
The group will accept new
unopened packages of men's or
women's underwear for the Ruth
Ellis Center's LGBT youth.
Meetings are free and will inter-
est all who want to broaden their
understanding of homosexuality,

Lunch And Learn
Adat Shalom Synagogue in
Farmington Hills will continue
its lunch and learn series titled
"Troubling Texts in the Bible" on
Tuesdays, May 6 and 13. Classes
run from noon to 1:15 p.m. There
is a $10 per-session fee, which
includes lunch.
The community is welcome.
