r. Bernard and Marlene Toft of
West Bloomfield are announcing
with love the engagement of their
son Dr. Kenneth Mitchell Toft to Brittany
Michelle Handler, daughter of David and
Sharon Handler of El Dorado Hills, Calif.
Brittany earned her bachelor of science in
psychology at the University of Iowa in Iowa
City and is joining her family business.
Kenny earned his medical degree at the
University of Michigan and is practicing
facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
The couple reside in the Sacramento area.
A May 2009 wedding is planned at Lake Tahoe.

their daughter Heather Michelle
to Scott Paul Leshman, son of Barbara and
Howard Leshman.
Heather earned a bachelor of fine arts at
the International Academy of Design and
Technology in Troy. She is planning a career
in fashion design and visual merchandising.
Scott earned a bachelor's degree in
finance and business Western Michigan
University in Kalamazoo and a secondary
education degree in teaching from Wayne
State University in Detroit. He is a mortgage
executive with Central States Mortgage.
The couple will honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas after a July wedding at the
Ritz Carlton in Dearborn.

of Illinois Medical School in Chicago.
He completed a Tulane University (New
Orleans) internal medicine residency and
a University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) pulmonary critical care fellowship.
He is a pulmonary critical care physician at Detroit-based Henry Ford Hospital
and a member of the Henry Ford Hospital Transplant Institute.
